Write a bio in 𝗯𝗼𝗹𝗱, 𝓼𝓬𝓻𝓲𝓹𝓽, ⓑⓤⓑⓑⓛⓔ or aesthetic — 22 styles, type and copy.
28 / 80 styled · 15 as typed
Bio: Eighty characters, and a styled letter usually costs two of them. Most of these letters cost two units against the limit where a plain one costs one, so the first number is the cautious one.

Bold
𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲
Renders everywhere. The safe pick for a name or a hook.
Italic
𝘧𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘰𝘸 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦
Also universal — an aside, a quote, a soft emphasis.
Bold italic
𝙛𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙤𝙬 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙚
Serif bold
𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞
Heavier and more bookish, and the bold that has digits.
Serif italic
𝑓𝑜𝑙𝑙𝑜𝑤 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑚𝑜𝑟𝑒
Script
𝒻ℴ𝓁𝓁ℴ𝓌 𝒻ℴ𝓇 𝓂ℴ𝓇ℯ
The classic bio font. Missing from a few older Android fonts.
Bold script
𝓯𝓸𝓵𝓵𝓸𝔀 𝓯𝓸𝓻 𝓶𝓸𝓻𝓮
Gothic
𝔣𝔬𝔩𝔩𝔬𝔴 𝔣𝔬𝔯 𝔪𝔬𝔯𝔢
Bold gothic
𝖋𝖔𝖑𝖑𝖔𝖜 𝖋𝖔𝖗 𝖒𝖔𝖗𝖊
Outline
𝕗𝕠𝕝𝕝𝕠𝕨 𝕗𝕠𝕣 𝕞𝕠𝕣𝕖
Monospace
𝚏𝚘𝚕𝚕𝚘𝚠 𝚏𝚘𝚛 𝚖𝚘𝚛𝚎
Even widths — the one that keeps numbers lined up.
Small caps
ꜰᴏʟʟᴏᴡ ꜰᴏʀ ᴍᴏʀᴇ
q and x have no small-cap letter and stay as they are.
Bubble
ⓕⓞⓛⓛⓞⓦ ⓕⓞⓡ ⓜⓞⓡⓔ
Best in single letters — a whole sentence of it is hard work to read.
Filled bubble
🅕🅞🅛🅛🅞🅦 🅕🅞🅡 🅜🅞🅡🅔
Some phones draw these as emoji, in colour. That is the font, not the text.
Squared
🄵🄾🄻🄻🄾🅆 🄵🄾🅁 🄼🄾🅁🄴
Filled square

the vaporwave one — letters at the width of a Japanese character.
Upside down
ǝɹoɯ ɹoɟ ʍoʃʃoɟ
Turned over and read back to front, so it lands the right way up.
Tiny
ᶠᵒˡˡᵒʷ ᶠᵒʳ ᵐᵒʳᵉ
Raised letters. Capital Q has no small form and stays as it is.
Underline
f̲o̲l̲l̲o̲w̲ ̲f̲o̲r̲ ̲m̲o̲r̲e̲
A combining mark, so it works on characters no alphabet covers.
Strikethrough
f̶o̶l̶l̶o̶w̶ ̶f̶o̶r̶ ̶m̶o̶r̶e̶
Spaced out
f o l l o w f o r m o r e
Ordinary letters, so search still finds them and a screen reader still reads them.
Worth knowing: TikTok search matches the characters it was given, and 𝗳𝘆𝗽 is not the same string as fyp. Keep the words you want to be found by in plain letters and spend the styling on the line that only has to be seen.
Invisible characters
For a blank name or a gap that survives being saved. TikTok trims ordinary spaces and refuses an empty name, so what you paste has to be a character it counts as real and draws as nothing. Try them in this order — the first is the one that usually holds.
Hangul filler U+3164
The one that usually holds. It is a real Korean letter with nothing to draw, so a trim does not remove it and the field counts it as a character.
Braille blank U+2800
A braille cell with no dots raised. Also a printing character, and the usual fallback where the Hangul filler is rejected.
Hangul jungseong filler U+1160
Older, narrower, and stripped by more places than the other two — worth trying only if both fail.
Zero-width space U+200B
Genuinely zero width, which is why most fields drop it. Useful for splitting a word, not for a blank name.
A blank name cannot be searched for, tagged in a comment or read out, and TikTok resets one often enough that it is worth keeping the name you want in a note.
Symbols to paste
Tap one to copy it. They are ordinary characters, so they go anywhere your keyboard does — a name, a bio, a caption or a comment.
Check marks
A character in your name, not a badge. TikTok draws the real blue tick itself and treats a fake one as impersonation.

Where it lands
Which TikTok fields take a font
Four of the five do. The one that does not is the one most people are actually trying to style, so it is worth knowing before you spend twenty minutes on it: the @username validates what goes into it and rejects anything that is not a letter, a number, an underscore or a full stop. The styled name you see on other profiles is the display name printed above it.
| Field | Limit | Fonts | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Name | 30 characters | Yes | The display name above your @handle — the one place a font is seen before anything else. |
| Bio | 80 characters | Yes | Eighty characters, and a styled letter usually costs two of them. |
| Caption | 2,200 characters | Yes | Room to style a hook and leave the rest plain, which is what the hashtags need anyway. |
| Comment | 150 characters | Yes | Works, though a whole styled comment reads as spam to most people. |
| Username | 24 characters | No | Letters, numbers, underscores and full stops only. A styled letter is rejected outright. |
