How to create a WhatsApp link?
Pick the country, type the number
Type it however you would say it — with spaces, a leading 0, or pasted with its +code. The number is cleaned into the full international form WhatsApp needs, and anything that was fixed is shown under the box.
Add a message, if you want one
Whatever you write waits in the chat box of whoever taps the link. Start from an enquiry, order or booking opener, and use *bold* or _italic_ like in the app.
Check the chat it opens
The preview shows the chat as it opens on their phone: your number at the top, your message in the box, nothing sent until they press send.
Copy the link, or open the chat
Copy the wa.me link for a bio, an ad or a website, or press Open chat to message the number yourself right now. Printing it? Make a WhatsApp QR code from the same number.
The format
What a WhatsApp link looks like
A WhatsApp link — WhatsApp calls it click to chat — is an ordinary web address that the WhatsApp app claims on every phone. Tap it and the phone opens a chat with the number in it instead of a web page. Nothing has to be registered and nothing is in between: the whole link is the number, and a message if you add one.

Getting the number right
Why WhatsApp links break — and what gets fixed
A link with the wrong digits opens WhatsApp and then says the number is not on WhatsApp. It is nearly always one of the cases below, which is why the tool cleans the number the same way and lists every change it made, instead of quietly handing back a link that will not open.

Where to put your WhatsApp link
Instagram bio
Edit profile → Links → Add external link, and paste the wa.me link. A business account can also add WhatsApp as a contact button. Pair it with a QR code for your Instagram profile on the same flyer.
Shop counter, flyer and packaging
Print the link as a code where the customer already has a phone out — the WhatsApp QR code generator takes this link as it is, and a scan opens the chat with your opener already typed.
Website and email signature
The Website button tab gives a plain HTML “Chat on WhatsApp” button — no script, no widget, nothing slowing the page down.
Ads and campaigns
Give each ad its own message — “Hi, I saw the Diwali offer” — and you know where every chat came from without any tracking: the first message tells you.
Messaging a number you will not save
A delivery driver, a seller, a one-off booking: type the number and press Open chat. The chat opens without the number ever going into your contacts.
With the link in place, make the profile it opens look the part: a full DP that is not cropped and an About line that says what you do.
