Why the colours come out different here?

Most palette tools average colours in RGB, which invents swatches that were never in the photo and wastes slots on near-identical darks. This one clusters in OKLab — so distance matches how colour looks — then snaps every result back to a pixel that was actually there. No smoothing, no invented midpoints.

How are the colours chosen?

Pixels are clustered in OKLab, then each result is snapped to a colour actually in the photo — not an RGB average that invents new ones.

The palette missed the colour I wanted. Can I fix it?

Yes. Drag a marker onto the spot you meant, or lock keepers and change mood or count to refill the rest.

What do the percentages mean?

How much of the picture each swatch covers. They update as you move markers.

Can I get the palette into Photoshop, Illustrator or Figma?

Yes. Use .ase for Adobe apps, .gpl for GIMP/Krita, or copy hex codes for Figma and Canva.
