How to make Telegram stickers from a photo?
Drop a photo
A person, a pet, a face pulling an expression — anything with a clear subject. The background is cut away on your device; the first time, the cut-out model downloads once (about 44 MB).
Make it look like a sticker
A white die-cut outline, a soft shadow, and a caption in meme-style letters. Or keep the photo whole in a circle or a rounded square. No photo at all? Make a text sticker.
Check it in a chat
The preview shows the sticker as Telegram sends it — no bubble, the time in a pill over its corner — on the day or the night theme.

The PNG or WEBP is already the size Telegram asks for: one side exactly 512 px, and usually under 512 KB — the WEBP is always compressed to fit. Send it to the @Stickers bot, below, to start a pack.

How to make a sticker pack on Telegram
Packs are made with Telegram’s own bot, @Stickers, on any device — it opens as a mini app, and every step also works by typing its command. Desktop is easiest when the files are on your computer:

| The sticker | Send the PNG or WEBP as a file, not as a photo — a photo is compressed to a JPG and the transparency is lost. On a phone that is the paper clip → File; on Telegram Desktop, untick Compress images. |
| An emoji | Send one or more emoji that say what the sticker means — it is what the sticker is suggested for when someone types that emoji. Then the next sticker, and its emoji, up to 120 in a pack. |
| /publish | When the last sticker is in, send /publish. The bot asks for an icon: send the 100×100 pack icon from here, or /skip and the first sticker is used. |
| Short name | Last, a short name for the link: the pack lives at t.me/addstickers/<name>, and anyone with the link can add it. Add more later with /addsticker. |
The short name is the pack’s address: English letters, digits and underscores, starting with a letter, no double underscores, at most 64 characters, and not already taken. The title can be changed later; the short name cannot.

Telegram sticker size and format
